Awards and Prizes..
- ELSEVIER PNFA Young Scientist Award
- This award has been made at several past PECS meetings and that tradition continues with PECS-VIII. The award is open to all eligible attendees.
- The winner will receive a certificate and 1500 Euro.
- Guidleines:
- Awardees must be under 40 years of age and still working in the Photonics Research area.
- They should have published a paper in PNFA, and have not been a previous award winner.
- The final selection will be determined by the number of citations received for the paper published in PNFA by the nominee.

- RAITH STUDENT PRIZES
- This award is open to all registered students. First and runner up prizes will be awarded.
- Awardees will receive their Prize and a printed certificate
- Selection is made on the basis of a submitted abstract which must be presented at the meeting - as an oral presentation if selected, or as a poster.
- Applicants must be full-time students of a recognised academic institution or department, working in fields related to the topics of the conference.

- ARCNN Bursaries
(Australian Research Council Nanotechnology Network)
- Early Career Researcher (ECR) and Student Awards will contribute to/cover conference registration fees for Australian awardees. Early Career Researchers are defined as within 5 years of award of PhD degree.
- Awardees will receive a printed certificate, and are encouraged to join the network.
- Applicants should be members of ARCNN and/or undertaking nanotechnology related research. Extra consideration will be given to those applying from outside the University of Sydney.
- Bursaries are awarded on the basis of a submitted abstract which must be presented at the meeting - as an oral presentation if selected, or as a poster.
- Applicants must be full-time ECR/students of a recognised Australian academic institution or department, working in fields related to the topics of the conference.
- Selection will be made by the Program committee.
- ARNAM Bursaries (The Australian Research Network for Advanced Materials)
- Early Career Researcher (ECR) and Student Awards will contribute to/cover conference registration fees for Australian awardees. Early Career Researchers are defined as within 5 years of award of PhD degree.
