Conference Hotel

The conference hotel is the Portola Plaza, located on the waterfront close to Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey. The Portola Plaza is within walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Monterey State Beaches, Monterey State Historic Park, Cannery Row, Monterey Bay harbor and many other popular destinations. Within driving distance are the scenic 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, Carmel by the Sea, the wineries of Carmel Valley and Salina Valleys and the Big Sur Coast.

Participants must contact the Portola Plaza directly to make reservations. We have obtained the following conference rate for a limited number of rooms:

Single Occupancy........................$103.00

Double Occupancy.......................$133.00

To receive these rates, when making reservations please mention you will be attending the PECS-VII conference. The hotel will hold these rates until February 15, so please make reservations by then. Contact information for the hotel is as follows:

NOTICE: Because of the hotel's policy of accepting reservations between 7 a.m.-10 p.m. PST, they have set up a website for participants to register on line. This should make registering easier for everyone.
